TCC RADIO | Proving God (Apologetics)

You’ve likely heard that it’s impossible to prove that God exists. Well, you’ve heard wrong. Not only can the existence of God be proven, but denying the proof undermines rational thought.

In this series of TCC Radio we’re working with Christian Apologist, Sye Ten Bruggencate of Absolute Apologetics, to air and share irrefutable proof that God does exist…and everyone knows it.

Part 1: Ultimate Authority

In this first part of our series we help average everyday believers lay the necessary groundwork for giving a biblical defense on the foundational authority of Christ and His Word.

Part 2: Logic

In this second part of our series we put on our thinking caps together to biblically define logic and discuss why it provides such powerful proof for the existence of God.

Part 3: Science

In this third part of our series we explore together how and why science proves God based on the fact that He is actually the necessary starting point for knowing anything.

Part 4: Morality

In this fourth and final part of our series we again open Scripture to sort out right from wrong and prove God using the sometimes sensitive subject of morality.

TCC RADIO | Whose Right? (Rights)

Rights. Every human is born with them. They are essential for dignity, liberty, and security. Governments are paid to protect and promote them, and people everywhere passionately demand them. Yet, human rights are still violated in this world every day.

In this thought-provoking series of TCC Radio, we’re taking you in the studio and on the street with our outreach radio team to talk truth about “Whose Right?” Ultimately, the answer to this question is found not with God’s image-bearers, but within the character and nature of God Himself.

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Right Beginnings

This first episode of the series starts on the street as our radio rep reasons with a skeptic who holds that every human being has the same basic rights, even though rights are person-relative. We wrap things up in the studio by opening Scripture and going all the way back to the very beginning of human history to learn why we as humans have rights that no other living beings have.

Part 2: Right Matters

In this second episode of our series, our radio rep gently brings biblical correction to the heart and mind of a professing Christian whose seems unwilling to submit to the sole and sovereign Lordship of Christ. We close things out in the studio opening God’s Word to telescope several specific rights before offering Christians a couple simple, Scriptural ways we can expose suppression of truth when witnessing to our lost loved ones.

Part 3: Right Reasons

In this third episode of our series, our radio rep hits the streets to reason with a spiritual “thinker” who candidly makes her case for how and why our rights are more important than God’s. We then head back to the studio to reason from Scripture about how God is much more than just our Creator because in Christ He Himself is the very reason for all things and also holds every right over all things.

Part 4: Right Relationships

This fourth and final episode starts on the street with our radio rep teaching Christ and His Gospel to a young woman who seems very tender to the truth. We close out the series again opening Scripture in the studio in hope that through hearing and responding to His Gospel, God graciously saves all of our listeners into a right relationship with Him.

TCC RADIO | Who Do YOU Say That I Am? (Jesus)

Over 2000 years later and Christ’s question is still on the world’s front page: “Who do YOU say that I Am?” The destiny of every person who has ever lived rises or falls based on confessing with their mouths and believing in their hearts the right answer to this question.

In this series, we’re taking you in the studio and on the street with our outreach radio team to experience first-hand some of the crazy responses people give! But, in the end, what’s truly important is not what others say about God, but what God says about Himself.

Part 1: I Am … a holy humanitarian?

Was Jesus merely a holy humanitarian who came to help the heartbroken and homeless of the world, or was there much more to His message and ministry? In this part 1 of our series, we hope to lead you away and alone from the hustle and bustle of life like Jesus did with His disciples to determine whether you truly know Him.

Part 2: I Am … “the bees knees”?

“The bees knees” is an urban term that means “the height of excellence”. Although the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is the eternal “I Am” Who far surpasses all that is (John 8:58; Colossians 1:15-19), might a sinful subject of the King of Glory who tags Him as such be guilty of blasphemy? In this part 2 of our series, we talk truth with two skeptics on the street before opening Scripture in the studio to study Christ’s self-declaration that He is Savior.

Part 3: I Am … a failure and figment?

Although the Bible itself is the perfect source proving Christ’s existence, many other ancient historians outside of Scripture also confirm the person and work of Jesus – Josephus, Tacitus, and Thallus just to name a few. How is it possible that so many skeptics in this age of information have somehow missed these memos? Perhaps their claim that Christ is a mere figment has less to do with actual research and more to do with arrogant refusal to submit to His Sovereign Lordship. In this part 3 of our series, we engage three outspoken teens on the street before opening Scripture in the studio to study Christ’s self-declaration that He is Lord.

Part 4: I Am … Lord!

We’ve been saying throughout this entire series that in the end what’s most important is not what others say about God, but what God says about Himself. That said, it’s always encouraging when God the Father graciously reveals the true identity of His Son to another dead and depraved human heart that has repeatedly rejected Him. In this final part 4 of our series, our radio rep sharpens iron with another professing brother in Christ to teach through the Gospel and Lordship of King Jesus.

TCC RADIO | Ten Years of TCC (10th Anniversary Special – 2017)

May 2007. The first broadcast of TCC Radio is aired and the first witnessing workshop of The Cross Current is shared. After ten years of keeping the Cross current in Canada, we’ve got so much glory to give and so many “glory stories” to tell! Care to listen?

In this testimonial series of TCC Radio we’re praising God for His past, present, and future faithfulness in our ministry. We’ll take you up close and personal with our founders as they tell the inspiring story of how and why The Cross Current began. Not only will you hear our very first recorded Gospel conversations, but both leaders and laypeople alike will also learn much from our many years sharing Christ every week with family, friends, and even strangers on the streets. Looking forward, we’ll share how you and your church can leverage our experience to get equipped by example for high impact Gospel Outreach in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary – and this is only a sampling of what you’ll experience with us in this series.

After a decade of hands-on discipleship, we thank God for the good work He’s begun in us and trust Him to faithfully finish it. Canada still needs Christ! So whether you are brand new to The Cross Current or have been walking with us since the beginning, will you kindly “tune in” your heart with ours?

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Learning from Yesterday

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The import thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein

In this part 1 of our special 10th anniversary series we take you up close and personal with our ministry founders as they tell the inspirational story of how and why The Cross Current began.

We’ll bring you back to the faith-sharing crisis we experienced that drove us to cry out to God for help and we’ll honour the Christ-followers He brought to forever change our life and witness for Him. We’ll also attempt to re-paint for you the beautiful picture the Lord graciously showed us among a group of unusual people in the unlikeliest of places that would eventually become the catalyst to launching the very first evangelism equipping ministry and outreach radio broadcast of its kind in Canada.

When this opening episode wraps up, we hope that both laypeople and leaders alike will learn from our first fruitful but frantic year of airing and sharing Christ every week in the local mission field.

Part 2: Living for Today

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The import thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein

In this part 2 of our special 10th anniversary series our founders testify to how The Cross Current is living for today to urgently air and share Christ in Canada.

We’ll talk about the infamous TCC “Cabin Chronicles” where iron sharpened iron and sparks flew as the Lord brought beauty from ashes to unify our leadership team in the eternal value of the specific mission we now enjoy today.

Part 3: Living for Today

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The import thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein

In this part 3 of our special 10th anniversary series our founders continue testifying to how The Cross Current is living for today to urgently air and share Christ in Canada.

Last episode covered the topic of TCC training and this time we talk outreach radio. As the only street level spoken word program in Canada, this part of our series will prove both fascinating and fun for Christian and non-Christian listeners alike.

Part 4: Hoping for Tomorrow

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The import thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein

In this final part 4 of our special 10th anniversary series we’ll give you an exciting sneak peek of where we believe the Lord is leading us together tomorrow.

Canada still needs Christ! So – looking forward – we’ll share 3 ways that you can get better trained to biblically advance and give a defense for your own faith, and your church can get better equipped for the greatest Gospel outreach opportunity of our entire lifetime!

TCC RADIO | TCC Phone Home (Aliens)

Aliens. Little green men, lights in the sky, people abducted, and other weirdness. What’s going on, Canada?

Reports of even our air space being violated, just add to the nearly 150 reports of U.F.O. sightings around the world every single day. Some 90% of these reports can be explained by natural or man-made things, but what about that other 10%?

TCC has abducted Gary Bates, CEO of Creation Ministries International (US) and CMI-Worldwide and author of amazon.com bestseller Alien Intrusion, to help us discover the truth about who or what is really out there.

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Sci-Fi in the Sky

How on earth did a subject with virtually no basis in reality get so “out of this world” in the minds of so many people? In this first part of our series, Gary Bates helps us see the big picture of how the science of fiction seeks to satisfy those who have knowingly rejected their Creator.

Part 2: Life, The Universe, Anything?

Have you ever considered what might motivate so many people to so passionately pursue the existence of extraterrestrial life? Is this obsession simply for the sake of “science”, or could there be something much more subversive happening? In this second part of our series, Gary Bates helps us biblically see the bigger picture and scientifically assess the possibility of life on other planets.

Part 3: Going Nowhere Fast

The concept of “warp speed” may be cool for Captain Kirk and hip for Han Solo, but how likely is it in real life? In this third part of our series, Gary Bates takes the wheel to fly us through the scientific realities of space travel before we open Scripture to set the trajectory toward the ultimate trip we all must take.

Part 4: They’re Here!

After spending the first three episodes of this series exploring several of the alien “mysteries” that simple observational science can solve upwards of 90% of the time, this shocking fourth and final part tackles the remaining 10% of truth surrounding alien phenomenon. What are the real and scary realities associated with this subject? The answers are out of this world … literally.

Experience (Unedited) Extras!

We talked to lots of people throughout the production of this series! Click on the audio files below to experience fascinating full length street segments and unedited extras and surrounding this subject of aliens, U.F.O.’s, and the Gospel.

TCC RADIO | TCC at Easter (Easter)

The culture is confused about Easter. What could chocolate bunnies and painted eggs possibly have to do with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ? What’s so “good” about Good Friday?

In this series, our outreach radio team first hits the streets to go, tell, and broadcast real-time conversations with everyday people about the true meaning of Easter in the hope that all who hear the Good News will come to believe.

We then close each episode back in the studio opening Scripture to see how we might each relate to the various characters involved in the crucifixion account as we consider the ultimate decision we all face: what to do with the Son of God?

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: “Going” Public at Easter

If Jesus Christ was publicly put to shame and crucified at Easter, how can we not publicly preach His death, burial, and resurrection – especially at Easter? Hear the conversation that unfolded when two cordial Christians express their concerns to our TCC Radio Rep about the dangers of alienating people through street preaching.

Part 2: “Going” Pluralistic at Easter

How is it possible to not believe in God, yet personally have experiences of God? Is the Good News of Good Friday merely one of many equally valid expressions of spirituality? In this episode, our radio rep engages in a fascinating conversation with a supposedly VERY good person whose spiritually eclectic worldview can’t quite sustain rational thought about objective reality.

Part 3: “Going” Perfect at Easter

Is knowing a few facts about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection sufficient for receiving salvation? Is it rational and realistic to express death as your number one fear? In this enlightening episode, our radio rep enjoys a very candid conversation with two “Christian-ish” Canadians who are doing their best to catch up on good works … only to find out that perfection is God’s standard for heaven.

Part 4: “Going” Presuppositional at Easter

“It’s absolutely true that there is no absolute truth.” The statement itself presupposes that truth does exist. In this fourth and final episode of our series, we talk eternal truth with a self-proclaimed esoteric Christian about Jesus Christ who IS the way, the truth, and the life and who needs no one to authenticate His supreme authority.

TCC RADIO | So, You Really Wanna Be Scared? (Halloween)

Do you REALLY want to be scared? If so, keep reading…and start listening!

Halloween is a holiday celebrated by millions of people every year as a fun time for costumed kiddies to knock on neighborhood doors in search of candy. Most see it is as nothing more than harmless fun, but is it possible there is more to “All Hallows Eve” than meets the eye?

In this spooky series of TCC Radio we turn over every tombstone to unmask what truly might be lurking in the shadows of Halloween.

Part 1: Unmasking Halloween’s History

Why is it that scary movies scare us? Why does the sight of blood, ghosts, and skeletons frighten us so? Might there be some sort of threat that we’re instinctively reacting to that goes beyond what we can rationalize with our minds? Well, to find answers to these questions and many more, we are going to get historical – not “hysterical” – historical about Halloween’s pagan past.

Part 2: Dealing with Demons

Halloween is the one night of the year when costumed little cuties embody ghouls, goblins, and ghosts – or what the Bible might refer to as demons. In this episode we are dealing with demons in hope of discovering whether they are real and what kind of power they might have.

Part 3: Struggling with Satan?

Think about how many movies, books, and songs have been written about a supposed struggle between the devil and God. But is God really struggling with Satan? In this third and final episode, we’ll first open God’s Word in the studio to share His victory story over Satan before taking you to the street to hear a glory story of how He saved a real satanist on the street.

TCC RADIO | Oh Canada! (Christian Heritage Special)

You likely know a little about your Canadian history … but do you know anything about your Canadian “spiritual heritage”? Furthermore, do you have any idea why remembering is so important to your future and the future of your family, your country, and your world?

In this special Canada Day episode of our outreach radio program, we first hit the streets to survey our fellow citizens about Canadian history and to share Christ before opening Scripture together in the studio to learn a life-saving lesson from biblical history.

Teaser Trailer

In this special Dominion Day (Psalm 72:8) episode of TCC Radio, you’ll hear real conversations on the street between Canadians about Canada – all in an effort to prove that knowing our heritage as a nation serves a much higher purpose than just “telling great stories” … it’s quite literally a matter of life and death!

Please make sure to keep listening until the end of the program when we’ll open Scripture to share a “spiritual state of the nation” address – courtesy of your host, Cory McKenna.

TCC RADIO | It’s All Good! (God’s Goodness)

“It’s all good” is a common contemporary phrase synonymous with saying: “chill out”. However, the biblical necessity of being “all good” by God’s standard should cause all sinners great concern in light of eternity!

God is good. This ultimate truth is wonderfully good news for some but terribly bad news for others – it really depends on where each individual is personally standing today in relation to God.

Further, most people know that God is good. But, as sinners, most people do not know that God’s goodness is our greatest problem! If only God is “all good”, how can He not punish people for being bad?

In this series, we’re taking you in the studio and on the street with our outreach radio team to preach and teach the truth of God’s goodness.

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Bad To Be Good?

Can someone be bad in their thoughts yet still good in their community? Hear how our TCC Radio Rep reasons from Scripture to advance and give a defense of the Gospel in this elusive encounter with one very unusual suspect.

Part 2: How Good is “Good Enough”?

Is a self-professed goodness score of 75% “good enough” to earn eternal life with God? At what point does our bad behavior cause us to cross the line from being a good person to a bad person? In this gentle and respectful evangelistic exchange, God brings together two sinners to talk truth on how good is truly good enough for the young and old alike.

Part 3: Is God’s Grace Good?

Is God’s grace truly good or is it just a cheap bargaining chip to cash in on whenever it’s convenient? Can someone lie and steal without being “labeled” as a liar or a thief? This time we’re giving you a “two in one special” as our radio rep shares two compelling Gospel conversations in just one episode.

Part 4: Up To No Good

How is it possible for a supposed Atheist to say they are a “very good person” without having an objective standard for what “good” is? If morality is merely “common sense”, where does that “common sense” come from to make it “common”? In this Gospel conversation, our TCC radio rep corrects with gentleness to expose the fact that all people are absolutely “up to no good” compared to the one true God.
