TCC RADIO | Good News of Great Joy! (Christmas)

Do you know that Christmas can be the most wonderful time of the year for sharing Christ?

In this outreach radio series, you’ll hear several real-life conversations on the street with non-Christians surrounding the subject of Christmas, along with their reaction to the Good News of great joy that a Saviour has been born!

TCC Radio host Cory McKenna will also be closing out each episode in the studio by sharing insights from Scripture to help us all make the most of Christmas in our life and witness this season.

Remember: the greatest and most miraculous “good” of the Good News is God Himself!

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Revealing Good News of Great Joy

Have you ever thought about why Mary, Joseph, the wise men, and the shepherds all worshiped at the feet of baby Jesus while the rest of the world somehow “missed the memo” and was hopelessly distracted with business as usual? In this part 1 our series we trust the truth of God’s Word will help you relax with the commercial chaos as you reach out with the Christ of Christmas this holiday season.

Part 2: Receiving Good News of Great Joy

Suffice to say we have a lot to learn from those supposedly simple shepherds who watched their flocks on that very first Christmas night. While Bethlehem was hustling and bustling with crowds of people, the shepherds chose to chill out where it was calm and quiet. Will you choose to do the same and receive afresh God’s good news of great joy this season?

Part 3: Rejoicing in Good News of Great Joy

If a messaging angel and multitude of heavenly hosts pause for the purpose of singing God’s praises, then how can’t we do the same? In this third episode of our special Christmas series, we rejoice with heaven to give God glory for sending His only Son to be our sovereign Saviour and conquering King.

Part 4: Relaying Good News of Great Joy

“And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them” (Luke 2:20). In this fourth and final episode we challenge all of God’s sheep to be like those shepherds by relaying His good news of great joy to others this Christmas season.

TCC RADIO | Going Back to the Future (Origins)

Does your faith in the past affect your fate in the future? Does your belief about what happened in history in any way inform the reality of what will happen to you today and tomorrow? Special creation or accidental evolution – does it really matter? These are the age-old questions we’re asking and answering in this series of TCC Radio.

We’ll first be in the studio with Calvin Smith, an expert on the creation/evolution controversy, speaker with Creation Ministries International, and co-host of Creation Magazine Live. And then – as always – we’ll take the conversation to the streets this time to hear what average, everyday Canadians have to say about God’s creation history.

Finally, we’ll start and finish by submitting our thoughts to the Lordship of Christ, the Sovereign Creator and King of all.

Part 1: History Matters

Where do we come from? It’s the age-old question that everyone who’s ever existed has been asking since the very beginning! In this part 1 of our series we take you from the studio to the street and back to explore exactly why history really does matter – and very likely much more than many of our listeners realize.

Part 2: It’s Time for Change

What were you taught about how all the varieties of animals and plants came to be on the earth? Does what you believe about natural selection and evolution at all affect what you think will happen when you die? In this part 2 of our series we take you in the studio and on the street to explore exactly how your belief about biblical biology changes everything.

Part 3: Turning the Tides

The Bible clearly teaches that Noah’s Flood was a global catastrophe that literally turned the tides of human existence and the topography of planet earth. In this part 3 of our series we take you in the studio and on the street to talk biblical geology and why the rocks cry out that the truth of history matters both scientifically and spiritually.

Part 4: God and Godzilla

For seeming millions of years secularists have used the subject of dinosaurs to cast doubt on the historicity of Scripture. These sensational creatures obviously existed, so are the mentioned anywhere in the Bible? In this fascinating and ferocious part 4 of our series, we again take you in the studio and on the street to talk biblical truth about Hollywood’s most infamous monsters.

TCC RADIO | Fishing at the Falls (Gospel Outreach Teams)

Christian, has God been growing in you a “holy discontent” with safe and comfortable Christianity? Do you ever wonder why the witness of the early church seems so incompatible with what we experience together today in the church? Are you personally being lead of the Lord to “amp up” your own life and witness for Christ and do you also long to see your entire church being Christ’s witnesses together? If you said “Amen!” to any of these questions, then the time has come to take you and your church to the “Extreme”.

In this special summertime series of TCC Radio, you’ll first join Cory McKenna in the studio where he’ll open Scripture in hope of inspiring you and your church with the biblical basis for Gospel outreach with strangers on the street. We will then actually take you onto the street with our equipping evangelists as they lead armies of seed sowers to Niagara Falls to provide exclusive coverage of our “Extreme Team Missions” with The Cross Current.

Jesus said: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). That’s why we’re very mutually inviting all Christ-followers to go “Fishing at the Falls” with us right here on TCC Radio.

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Extreme MISSION

TCC Extreme Team Missions are local missions day trips into major urban centres for the specific purpose of preaching the Gospel through high volume tracting, one-to-one street witnessing, and open air preaching.

These events allow participants to fully leverage the local missions expertise of The Cross Current and receive personal mentoring from some of the most experienced evangelists and open air preachers in Canada.

In this first part of the series, we break the ice by bringing you into the big picture of how and why Extreme Team Missions can matter so much to you and your church long-term.

Part 2: Extreme MENTORING

At The Cross Current, we believe that disciple-making is always about equipping by example. Who do you and your church have helping you be more faithful witnesses for Christ?

In this part 2 of our series, we teach and testify how hands-on mentoring is so vital for helping us “go” and preach the Gospel together.

Part 3: Extreme MOMENTUM

Our objective as equipping evangelists is to help entire churches enjoy widespread witnessing momentum under constant pastoral care.

In this part 3 of our series, we explain from experience why the Extreme Team Missions ministry of the few is so vital for catalyzing and intensifying the “Gospel groundswell” of the many in your church.

Part 4: Extreme MULTIPLICATION

God gave evangelists to equip His saints for the work of the ministry toward building up the Body of Christ.

In this fourth and final session, we cast vital vision for how Extreme Team missionaries can use their experience to multiply and normalize the work of evangelism ministry within the lives of Christ-followers of their own local churches.

TCC RADIO | Becoming God (Transhumanism)

Transhumanism. Heard of it? It’s a growing philosophical movement among leading entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, politicians, and futurists.

If you can believe it, these “cultural kingpins” are actually putting their faith in the future of humanity living in what they are calling a post-human world.

In this fascinating – and frightening – series, we will first be in the studio to hear from Dr. David Herbert, author of “Becoming God” and an expert on the topic of transhumanism. Then, as always, we will also take the truth from the studio to the street to hear what you have to say about the subject.

Finally, we will open God’s Word together to reinforce the foundational biblical truth that our unfailing hope of immortality is found only in Jesus Christ.

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Trans What?

Who or what is transhumanism? In this first part of our series we define the term, track the history of the movement, and take the topic to the streets to hear what everyday citizens have to say about it.

Part 2: The Mind of Kurzweil

Movements always involve movers. In this part 2 of our series we take you in the studio and on the street to explore the ingenious mind and methods of author and futurist, Ray Kurzweil, who has quickly become the face and voice of transhumanism today.

Part 3: The Singularity and Cryonics

Brain and body freeze? Like, really? In this part 3 of our series we go in the studio and on the street to dig deeper into the mind of this Kurzweil character and learn more about his high-powered partners and his – well, um – bizarre plans for the future.

Part 4: The Christian’s Hope of Immortality

The psalmist says “Hope in God” (Ps. 42:5) for a reason! In this fourth and final episode of this series, we pull the plug on the foolish faith of achieving immortality through technology to talk in the studio and on the street about how Jesus Christ – God in the flesh – is the only true source of hope, joy, and life eternal.

TCC RADIO | Awaiting a Savior (Poverty)

Poverty. What is it? Jesus said that we will always have the poor with us, but what are we supposed to do about it?

Among other things, the “experts” recommend: giving, talking to the government, and engaging with others about this issue towards a solution. But do these responses really get to the core of the problem?

In this breakthrough series of TCC Radio, we’re working with preacher, author, and blogger Aaron Armstrong both in the studio and on the street to talk truth about how and when poverty will end … once and for all.

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: Exposing the Root Cause of the Poverty Problem

In this part 1 of our series we break ground by exposing the root cause of the poverty problem before sowing seeds toward a balanced, biblical response and solution.

Part 2: Dealing with the “Just Do More” Approach to Poverty

In this part 2 of our series we build on the foundation laid last time by looking through the lens of God’s grace to deal head-on with the “just do more” approach to solving the poverty problem.

Part 3: Tackling the Truth of When Poverty Will End

In this part 3 of our series we try and tackle the big question of what Jesus meant when he said: “The poor you will always have with you.” Is our Savior saying that poverty will never end … or is He saying something else?

Part 4: A Christian Call to Take Action!

In this fourth and final part of our series we wrap things up by issuing a challenge to all of our Christian listeners to take action toward true generosity and motivation. Let’s get “biblically busy” by setting our sights on Christ and eternity with Him!

TCC RADIO | 3 Minutes to Live (Eternity)

Time is a gift. How are you spending yours?

Over the average lifespan of 80 years, people will spend 20 years sleeping and 18 years watching television. That’s almost half your life! When you consider the time you spend shopping, driving, eating, and working … what’s left?

What priorities are most important to you today? What priorities will be most important to you tomorrow? What if you only had a year to live? A month? A week? One day? What if you only had 3 minutes to live? What would be most important to you then?

Throughout this outreach radio series, you’ll be on the streets with our TCC Radio reps listening to real-time Gospel conversations and learning how to witness with urgency! We’re all just one heartbeat away from eternity … where will you spend yours?

Teaser Trailer

Part 1: The Priority of … Pot Smoking?

Pot smoking, longboarding, and listening to Led Zeppelin … wise priorities with only 3 minutes to live? In this candid conversation with three unsuspecting students, our radio rep graciously opens God’s Word to share passing words of true wisdom in light of the realities of forever we all face.

Part 2: The Priority of … Peace with God?

Family, friends, where you are going when you die … three defining deathbed priorities that we all share in common. In this powerful episode of our series, God providentially places our radio rep with two tenderhearted teens who first humbly confess their fear of death after the recent suicide of a best friend, and then rejoice at the hearing that peace with God is possible!

Part 3: The Priority of … Perspective on Eternity?

Girlfriend, sin, salvation … an interesting deathbed bucket list before breathing your last. Does assuring a lost sinner to simply feel good about their meritorious deeds serve as sufficient spiritual preparation before they meet their Maker? Tune in to this gracious truth exchange to hear how two professing Christians differ in what specific words each would share with someone who only has 3 minutes to live.

Part 4: The Priority of … Putting a puck in the net?

Scoring and celebrating a hockey goal, “spitting” sick rap lyrics, imploring loved ones to live life to the fullest … three deathbed decrees that seem a bit trivial in light of eternity. Does the simple fact that everyone has “messed up” somehow obligate God to allow everyone into His eternal presence? In this fourth and final episode of this series, our TCC Radio rep lovingly confronts his new friends with God’s truth on top priorities.
